Very good Tonkatsu, and fried oysters! Lunch was one of the best! Friendly staff, and customers, didn't see English menu, but it's pretty self-explanatory. They had translation device so communication was easy, and we ended up chatting with the owners quite a bit. 5/5 would definitely recommend.
Amazing food! I'm all about my locals spots and this nailed it. Pork SO tender!
Simply Amazing! This is by far the best meal I've had all week in Tokyo. Spend the extra 400 yen for the premium pork loin or tenderloin. With all respect to my Japanese wife's great tonkatsu, this was by far the most delicious ever! Great spot hidden on a side street in Ginza! おいしかた!
I think this was the best tonkatsu restaurant I had in Japan. I was the only tourist in the restaurant. I went with the basic tonkatsu and it was truly delicious. Lots of generous sides too! Crunchy and delicious! Felt very family oriented.
Great pork!
A pork cutlet shop located about a 5-minute walk from Ginza Station. Since the pork cutlet is fried at low temperature, the inside of the meat is pink. Very thick and volumey. Contrary to its appearance, the meat is also tender. I am happy that there are 6 large cutlets. Miso soup is pork soup, which is also rich and delicious. The cabbage comes out in a heap. It's a good amount for me because it's eaten with meat, but if you're interested, it might be better to order a small amount in advance. I think 1200 yen is an unbelievable price with this taste and quantity. Next time, I want to go to eat the upper fin set.
Awesome
So rude
Unintentionally found this local restaurant while we’re wandering around the area. And my goodness, it’s already got rave reviews by many of food gurus out there. Couldn’t agree with ‘em more. We enjoyed every bite of our crispy and juicy tenderloins very much. The staffs were extraordinarily helpful and kind enough to get us seated at the bar, even though it’s nearly impossible to fit us in.
Great Tonkatsu local place!
Very good tonkatsu. It fills up very quickly, so they'll write down your name and number and call once seats open up, so just go nearby for a drink
Great place for a Japanese dinner. $15 for full meal. We had the pork loin and tenderloin, it much preferred the tenderloin (other one had LOTS of fat). We went around 7:30 and the bar was full of single business people eating alone. Very authentic place to grab a dinner.
Awesome !!
Great out of the way place with phenomenal pork cutlets. Portion sizes are large and delicious. Small menu, but it's all tonkatsu... Which is great. Prices are in the 1000-1500 range.Even an English menu was provided, which certainly helps anyone with less than ideal Japanese skills. Staff was polite, patient, and fast.I will be back if I ever find myself in Tokyo.
Amazing meal. The owner and staff were friendly and helped us with ordering in broken Japanese/English and had an English menu. Local customers also helped and made the dining experience fun and pleasant. Unlimited tea and shredded cabbage (yum) and the juiciest, most generous portions of pork. Definitely worth a visit.
Too good to be true. Best tonkatsu we ever had. Perfectly cooked rice, juicy pork, airy breadcrumbs, amazing appetizer. Will definitely come back to this place.
Very good tonkatsu, good quantity, the pork is very crispy and tender inside. They have set menu with rice and cabbage slices very thin and a very thick and strong miso soup with raddish and pork. The place is small, you feel like you blend into the local life. They have an english menu. The wait is not long as people eat quite fast.
Just the kind of hole-in-the-wall place we were looking for... and so happy to have discovered! Pork cuts were fantastically tender, staff was super friendly and helpful with an English-speaking server to make ordering so much easier. Best of all-the price made it too good to be true but it is!! Will make sure to go back here before we leave Tokyo.
They serve juicy and tender pork. The room is small but cozy.
So good that I don't want any foreign people know this place.
My husband and I saw the great reviews and were looking forward to checking this place out. We're both really shy and while we understand a little Japanese we don't speak it well, so we froze up a bit when we walked in. As a result, we were told there were no seats for us in an almost empty restaurant. It was embarrassing. We wish we were better at speaking Japanese, but this caused us so much shame. We expected better.
Family run pork cutlet shopExcellent cospa in this neighborhood! Recommended is Loin Set 1500 This volume and quality make this price exceptional. (The level of meat is exceeded by cooking techniques.) The side menu is also the best with a fulfilling prepping that exceeds all expectations in advance.
Just delicious
A gentle pork cutlet. You can eat as much as you want.Comes with salt.He gave me 100 points to want to eat pork cutlet.
Really cool local spot for tonkatsu. The soup is a pork broth which is great. Quite different from a typical tonkatsu shop. Very busy for a weekday lunch though.
Best tonkatsu we had in all of Japan. Super juicy pork roast! And the rice was cooked perfectly
Chance upon this restaurant when we were nearby for lunch in another restaurant. Saw the long queue and decided to come back here few days later. Not disappointed! Very good tonkatsu and fried oyster!
